We developed a scanning platform for one of India’s leading fashion ecommerce platforms so that they can keep a track on lost goods and reduce their losses by a significant amount which was happening due to these losses.
This web application had a dual input area where goods IDs could be entered manually as well as through QR code scanning.
This leading fashion ecommerce platform was facing issues with lost goods at their warehouses. The warehouses recorded a total loss of INR 90,00,000 per month across 3 locations (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore) due to these lost goods and there was no tracking system in their warehouses to keep a check on the incoming and outgoing of goods.
Balancing functionality with ease of use and optimizing the app‘s performance for a range of Android devices and screen sizes.
The development of the drawing tools app was divided into several sprints, each focused on a specific set of features and functionality.
This agile approach enabled the team to iterate quickly and respond to user feedback, while also ensuring that the app met the project goals and deadlines.
Our product was first launched at the Bangalore location and a total of 1 Lakh QR codes of goods were scanned per day. The platform was later launched in the warehouses in Mumbai as well as Delhi. As a result of this:
2 to 2.5 Lakh
QR Codes were being scanned per day
reduction in the loss of goods
reduction in the total amount of the lost goods
