About

For one of India’s leading ecommerce platforms, we developed a scanning application so that they can keep track of incoming and outgoing of the bags that are used to send out the delivery products.

The Web Application and the scanning devices is being used in their facilities at a great scale to keep track of the bags

The Challenge

This leading e-commerce company was facing issues with the loss of bags that were used to send out delivery products. Most of these reusable bags that the delivery person took out with them did not return back to the facilities.

The company earlier used to keep track of this by maintaining a notebook and entering the details manually on the notebook. They later got a third party application to keep track of the bags going out. However, there was no method to keep track of the bags coming back to the facility

This outgoing bag tracking method was incomplete as well as incomplete and the losses accounted to INR 50,000 per day at one facility.

Balancing functionality with ease of use and optimizing the app‘s performance for a range of Android devices and screen sizes.

Sprint

The development of the drawing tools app was divided into several sprints, each focused on a specific set of features and functionality.

We created a web application which scans the bags when they come back to the facility and the officials at this e-commerce company now compare the 2 reports of outgoing and incoming and then check which bag hasn’t come back.

Our product was launched at 5 facilities for the pilot and the results were outstanding
